Drugs (WHO Group I) indicated for the pulmonary arterial hypertension treatment to improve exercise ability (such revatio) should be prescribed you by your doctor.
wineDo you think that a shot or two is good for your heart? The answer seems to be not as evident as we have been told for years. Numerous studies have confirmed that moderate drinking has its benefits. The French with their love for red wine and saturated fats are boasting to have a better situation with heart health compared with other nations, including the Americans (the so called “French Paradox”). Healthy hearts of the people living in Mediterranean countries are traditionally attributed to red wine, though the scientists agree that other types of alcohol can have similar effect.

Meanwhile, doctors from Japan insist that alcohol can increase blood pressure beginning from the first drink. According to them, alcohol is a serious risk factor for raised blood pressure due to their direct interrelation. Adding to the confusion is a comprehensive study from Denmark. As for the Dane, a daily drink or two, especially for the middle-aged men and women and on, is able to decrease the risk of heart attack.
No wonder that one can feel himself confused with the situation. While additional research and evidence are always welcome, there is quite solid argumentation that moderate drinking supports healthy heart. The question is what to consider moderate consumption. It is clear that too much alcohol is extremely dangerous both for your heart and for blood pressure, not to say about the damage to your liver. So making the difference between useful and harmful may appear the most important point of it.

Overweight and wrong food
fatMind you, we speak of excess weight and not of obesity. For some patient several extra pounds are enough to get hypertension. Middle-aged men usually carry their excess weight around hips and waist (not to mention those moobies).
At the same time testosterone level may start declining. During the process certain zones of the body get additional fatty tissues, including the heart. Such state and age along with weakened heart increase the risk of high blood pressure.
Even a ten per cent decrease in weight can sometimes help to overcome hypertension. One of my acquaintances had extra 20 pounds compared with norm. You wouldn’t even notice them on his 6′4″ figure, but together with them he got rid of his problems with high blood pressure.
Obesity is not directly associated with hypertension, but is one of the risk factors. Obese people with escalated blood pressure should begin with losing their weight.
Overweight and diet problems are good friends. The only valid way to start losing weight is to watch what and how much you eat. Do not forget to add exercising to your balanced diet. For people with hypertension DASH diet is recommended. It is based on vegetables, grains, and fruits. High-sodium products and salt should be restricted.

Treating hypertension with the help of natural methods many associate with minerals, supplements, or herbs. The thing is that they can be as “natural” as the prescribed medicine. Moreover, these powerful remedies are often fraught with various side effects. Like prescription drugs, they are costly (insurance and state health systems do not cover them as a rule).
If you are interested in natural remedies, take a look at your lifestyle and start changing from the inside. You will be impressed, how simple measures can impact your physical condition and the blood pressure.
Healthy lifestyle does not necessarily mean low blood pressure. And hypertension is by no means always related to your habits. It has also nothing to do with adjusting to any standards. Each healthy person has got his or her own size, shape, and preferences. But in case of hypertension it is your lifestyle that you should pay special attention to.
Below are things that really matter for your blood pressure.

without Medicine

Only 5 per cent of people require medicine to lower their blood pressure. For others natural methods will do if they are supported by healthy lifestyle.

While drugs should be treated as extreme measures, more often than not they are prescribed immediately after hypertension or even pre-hypertension has been confirmed.
It’s worth noticing that possible side effects of drugs can outweigh the ailment they are to treat. If the level of blood pressure is not risky, do try to improve your health by natural means before taking pills. Try and change your life following simple recommendations given below.Stop smoking; take a drink or two instead

We all are aware of how dangerous smoking is. It is especially hazardous for your blood pressure.

Stop smoking and take a drink or two instead. Everyone agrees now that a bit of alcohol is good for your heart. The exact dose depends on the person’s weight, sex, age, and physical condition. If overdosed, spirits have the opposite effect. Be sure to know your limit.

Medicine for decreasing blood pressureAll the types and lines of drugs for lowering blood pressure can be divided into five main categories. Below you will find a short description of them.

ACE inhibitors (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme)

The class includes trandolapril, quinapril, ramipril, lisinopril, perindopril, enalapril, fisinopril, cilazapril, captopril, to name a few.
They decrease the level of angiotensin II in the blood, which is responsible for narrowed blood vessels. As a result, vessels start to widen and become more flexible. The pressure of blood going through them is reduced.
ACE inhibitors are highly recommended in case of diabetes and cardiac failure. Among contra-indications are pregnancy, renal failure, and certain problems with arteries.Prescribing of an ACE inhibitor is preceded by a blood test to make sure that the patient has got healthy kidneys. In two weeks one more blood test is obligatory as well as in two weeks after enlarging of the dosage. After that a test is taken once a year (as a rule).
